I've decided to start a playlist blog to make myself feel like the countless hours I spend handcrafting playlists isn't a total waste. If someone else gets something out of it, I can keep doing it, right? Most of the music I feature will be tracks that can be legally downloaded for FREE. However, in the interest of playlist integrity and flow, I will still list non-free songs with links to where they can be purchased.
To start things off, I give you Sitting on Houses: A-H. It's A-H because a typical cd-r only holds 80 minutes worth of music and I needed something to listen to on the way to house-sit with my fiance. The scale of the project and the time before the drive were incompatible so I broke it up. If anyone enjoys this, I'll post I-P, Q-Z, and the Various Artists section. Also, if you're wondering why an artist like Amanda Palmer would be on the A-H section, it's because Windows Media sorts by first name.
Now that all of the boring introductory jibber-jabber is out of the way, I'll let the music speak for itself. This particular project is a bit on the mellow/downer side. It may not be your cup of tea, but my interests are extremely varied and I'm sure I'll hit on something you like eventually. Give it a chance. Also, I'm experimenting with ways to embed clips from the songs that aren't on bandcamp.com. Hopefully I'll be able to provide the full playlist experience right here on the blog soon. Comments would be much appreciated.
